Karmarama and Biscuit Filmworks head to the skies in multi-million pound push
Just Eat is launching the next phase of its Magical World of Just Eat communications platform, with a 60-second spot by Karmarama and Biscuit Filmworks.

Under the tagline Delivering for the Nation, the advert celebrates the service Just Eat offers to people across the nation, connecting them with their favourite meals from local independent takeaways and popular high street restaurants.

The concept features a live action tale to the soundtrack of Hot Stuff by Donna Summer, offering a magical snapshot of a typical Wednesday day (and night) of Just Eat’s passionate squad of airborne delivery drivers.  The squad are on a mission, tirelessly flying through the skies from Edinburgh to Enfield and beyond delivering the nation’s favourite dishes, which are being conjured up by Just Eat’s magic makers - its 29,000 restaurant partners - in kitchens across the UK.

The script highlights Just Eat’s national scale with a humorous nod to those who are staying in to watch ‘episode 3’ to the Stevensons who are placing their weekly order, reinforcing the message that the Just Eat app is always on hand to serve all customers, whatever the occasion.

TV will lead the campaign with a 60” hero launch spot, supported by 30” and more DR-orientated 10” spots.  Other activity will include radio, OOH, press and social, which will continue to spread Just Eat magic into the new year.

Ben Carter, UK marketing director at Just Eat, says: “Our Magical World of Just Eatcampaign is intended to showcase the scale of Just Eat as every day, every hour and every minute wherever you are in the country, we deliver the perfect meal to a customer's doorstep."

“Nearly half of the population are yet to order food online so we want to not only entice new customers to experience the magic of Just Eat but also to encourage our existing customers to order on the app in more mealtime moments, considering us beyond their normal takeaway treat.”

Nik Studzinski, CCO at Karmarama, adds: “Just Eat is the UK’s largest food delivery service. And it felt like time to take a moment to honour that fact. To pay fitting tribute to the men and women, who day after day fly around the UK in all weather, with just one thing on their mind, bringing delicious food to the doorstep of hungry Brits. God bless them.”
