Iconoclast Signs Director Ian Ruschel

Iconoclast has signed Brazilian director, Ian Ruschel. Ruschel finds inspiration in details of life, mixing personal experiences with his strong knowledge and passion for cinema.

His sensitivity and commitment to strong narratives, poetic cinematography and naturalistic performances is reflected in his soulful and immersive work.  

Besides advertising, Ruschel's personal projects have gained international recognition; one example of this is ‘Las Calles de Borges’, a tribute to the poet Jorge Luis Borges, filmed, photographed and edited by him and has gained over 1 million views.

He has directed films for major brands including Audi, Sony, Nike, Coca-Cola, Ford and Samsung and in 2013 he was shortlisted on Shots magazine as New Director of the Year. In 2014 he also directed a short-film Unbovine Yorself which picked up a Young Directors Award.
