Hasan & Partners Mixes Cell Phones and Beer for Eurobest Networking

Nordic agency group hasan & partners has found a new way to enhance the networking benefits of attending this year’s celebration of European creativity in Helsinki, the chance to share a beer and charge your smartphone.

Attendees to the event will be able to raise a glass to the agency but only if they can find a friend who also needs to charge their phone.

hasan & partners and sister company Perfect Fools has built a unique device, that only dispenses Carlsberg beer when two phones are charged at the same time.

Powered by a Raspberry Pi computer, the device uses a USB hub to detect when two or more phones are charging and then opens the draft taps on the beer dispenser.

The agencies have also taken the sharing motif a stage further with a virtual slot machine game that only works if users share the fact that they are on the hasan & partners, Perfect Fools and Frankly Partners stand at Eurobest via Facebook or Twitter.

Games can be played on mobile but will also be screened on giant LCD screens at the stand. Prizes include the chance to show work to hasan & partners and Perfect Fools chairman Ami Hasan and hasan & partners CEO/CCO Eka Ruola as well as prizes from their clients including deluxe cruises from TallinkGrupp and chocolate from Fazer.
