Gothenburg's homelessness highlighted in hotel with a difference
The memory of Christmas may be fading fast, but Forsman & Bodenfors’ new project for magazine Faktum hopes to keep the spirit of giving and consideration alive.
Faktum Hotel is a site that lets users book ‘beds’ in Gothenburg – spaces where homeless people often spend their nights. All of the money raised goes to Faktum’s work for the homeless.
Faktum is a street journal created for and sold by homeless people. Gothenburg has about 3,400 homeless and socially vulnerable people. Most of them find a roof over their heads with a friend or at a refuge, but some sleep in the open air.
Forsman & Bodenfors created the site together with Faktum and photographer Håkan Ludwigson.
