Can they kick it? Not quite... But MBNA make up for their lack of footballing prowess with some serious credit card skills. With a hat trick of Consumer Moneyfact Awards to their name, the company wanted to make some noise about their recent successes.
The question was, how do you make an advert about credit cards satisfaction, not usually known for exciting consumers, that engages and even entertains your audience?
The answer turned out to be quite simple. The company embraced that perception of it’s industry and, with a sense of humour, turned it on it’s head. The hilarious advert shows a group of MBNA office workers and their footballing efforts, with Focus Music providing the perfect soundtrack to the #GoodSkillsBadSkills campaign.
The lively track, ‘Hommage A Pele’ sets the light hearted tone for the visuals and with the obvious Brazilian energy, it tied in perfectly for the Rio 2016 Olympics and Paralympics.
