This is to remind you that the official closing date of the 2012 Epica awards is next Monday, October 1st.
The Epica awards were created in 1987 and celebrated their 25th anniversary last year. Having originally focused on Europe only, the awards have progressively extended their geographic coverage and will become global this year.
With 48 categories, Epica covers all types of communication: TV, Press, Poster, Radio, Business-to-Business, Corporate Image, Medical, Direct Marketing, Media Innovation, Branded Content, PR, Promotions, Craft, Design, Packaging, Interactive and Integrated Campaigns.
Three new Film Craft categories have been introduced in 2012, while the Interactive categories have been extended to cover different products and services.
The Epica awards are judged by journalists from 41 specialist trade press titles and dedicated websites. 34 countries will be represented on the
jury this year; including, for the first time, Canada, India, Singapore, China, Australia and the Philippines. This unique jury guarantees objectivity and widespread coverage of the results.
All the winners and a selection of other high-scoring entries are published in the 400-page
Epica yearbook which is distributed worldwide. All entrants will receive a free copy of the 2012 annual when it comes out next year.
The Epica
results also count in the main national and international creative rankings.
The closing date for entries is October 1st, 2012 and full results will be announced on the Epica website at the end of November.
The annual
ceremony and creative conference will be held at the Cankarjev Dom Culture & Congress Centre in Ljubljana on January 25th, 2013. The event will be hosted by Slovenia's MM magazine and a full programme of international speakers will be announced soon.
