Enter ‘Santa’s Photoshop’ with Iris Amsterdam's Interactive Social Christmas Card

Iris Amsterdam has turned its office window, located opposite the famous Rijksmuseum, into an interactive social photoshop experience just in time for the festive season.

A live tweet-wall will bring Christmas in Amsterdam to life, with passersby invited to tweet or email their ideas for seasonal images to Iris Amsterdam’s very own Father Christmas, who will select the best suggestions and will turn them into a festive image with the magic of photoshop. Situated close to the Heineken Experience and Van Gogh Museum, iris Amsterdam aims to get locals and tourists involved in its Christmas card, which will be on display for the holiday crowds throughout December.

Chris Friend, managing director said: “This year’s concept perfectly reflects Iris Amsterdam’s participative character. We want to give people a bit of Christmas cheer. Whether they are following us on Twitter, are waiting for the tram home after work or come out of the Rijksmuseum wearing a woolly Amsterdam hat, everyone has the chance to see their idea up in lights.”

Creative director, Rachna Dhall added: “Santa’s Photoshop is an open invitation to collaborate and get the creative juices flowing. We’re intrigued to see what the mix of tourists and locals will come up with. The crazier the suggestions, the better. It’s a risky one, but we are ready for it.”
