DARE Hires Chris Woodward as Managing Director
DARE has hired Chris Woodward as managing director. This is a newly created role for the specialist digital transformation agency, part of the Inside Ideas Group, which includes OLIVER, Adjust Your Set and Aylesworth Fleming.
Woodward moves from Saatchi & Saatchi Pro where he worked as managing director, after enjoying senior roles at Rapier (chief operating officer) and The&Partnership (managing partner). Woodward, alongside a team of design experts, was also responsible for creating, launching and growing Seven Seconds into a 65-strong, multi-million-pound innovation and customer experience consultancy – later embedded into BBH London and sold to Publicis Groupe.
Sharon Whale, chief executive officer for OLIVER UK, said: “Chris is a truly modern, integrated marketer with a huge breadth of experience – from managing clients and leading teams to launching companies. This is the exact entrepreneurial spirit that the Dare brand relishes, and also what we look for as we continue to grow our ever-expanding brandtech network under You & Mr Jones.”
Chris will be responsible for leading the Dare team both in their London headquarters and where Dare operates in-house with clients, including Clyde&Co and Vision Express. His credentials include producing ground-breaking customer propositions for the likes of Audi, British Airways, Virgin Media and Barclays.
Woodward said: “I am passionate about helping clients deliver highly effective marketing, so Dare is the perfect home for me. We have the opportunity to create total customer experience strategies, which Dare, Inside Ideas Group and You & Mr Jones can be deployed against. On a personal level it is a privilege to be here. This group is white-hot right now, and being part of it is has been a goal of mine for some time. I’m massively looking forward to working with Sharon, the team at Dare and the wider brandtech network.”
The appointment follows the acquisition of DARE’s holding company Inside Ideas Group by brand tech firm You & Mr Jones in January. The firm, founded by former Havas SA chief executive David Jones, acquired a majority stake in Inside Ideas Group, to further help brands build their own internal marketing capabilities.
