Cutters LA Grows continues growth with new EP

Cutters LA have named Josianne Côté as the new Executive Producer for its LA office. Côté is a seasoned and well-respected industry professional who will immediately join the team and hit the ground running.

 

“Côté has been a successful Executive Producer in LA for 10 years. She’s done a great job wherever she’s been and we expect her to step right in here and continue at a high level. We’re thrilled to have her with us,” said Tim McGuire, Cutters Studios CEO and President.

 

Recently, Côté has been working as a freelance producer, mostly on the agency side, while carefully planning her next move. She’s fielded offers from several other production and post houses, but it was Cutters she was ultimately drawn to.

 

“It was the people behind Cutters that attracted me,” Côté said. They are amazingly positive and embody what a true team should be.”

A native of Montreal and fluent in French, Côté came to LA soon after graduating college and quickly worked her way up the industry ranks. She’s also served as guest teacher at the Art Institute in LA, sharing her extensive industry knowledge. And in her spare time, she dabbles in stand-up comedy.

 

“I started in this industry as a receptionist, it did not last long because I barely spoke English,” she said. “I was better with numbers, so I began assisting the executive producer with bids and budgets. Improving my English finally let me grow into the role of executive producer.” 

 

Through the years, Côté and her companies have won several AICP and CLIO awards for accounts including Nike, Carl’s Jr., Toyota and Laura Ashley. She thrives in a collaborative environment and loves the challenge of growing a company. She hopes to help Cutters LA surpass its already tremendous growth.

 

“In a lot of ways it is a new beginning for the company. They just moved to their new space and have a very talented and expanding roster,” she said. “I hope to continue that growth and reach new markets.”
