Trailer stars the UK’s first professional female freestyle footballer Liv Cooke
Channel 4 has launched a new promo as part of its campaign for its coverage of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 Championship. The 60" TV spot follows a football-obsessed schoolgirl showing off her football skills as she heads home from school to watch the live opening match of the tournament on Channel 4.

The ad culminates in a perfectly pitched ‘goal’ through the open window of her house, where she joins her family to watch England play Scotland – the opening match of Channel 4’s EUROs coverage on 19th July at 7pm.

The super talented schoolgirl represents women's football's unstoppable onward march, and teases the sporting skill that the tournament will bring. The ad's hero is played by Liv Cooke, the UK's first professional female football freestyler, and, at 17, the youngest ever 'vice world champion' in freestyle football.

The campaign, which features the track 'Boys Wanna Be Her' by Peaches, includes 40" and 20" TV spots as well as radio and social content and a high profile print campaign featuring the England and Scotland women's teams with the headline 'Game Changers'.

Conceived by Channel 4’s award-winning in-house creative agency 4Creative, the trailer launched on Channel 4 on the evening of Thursday 29th June (at 18:25, before Hollyoaks). It will run until the early stages of the tournament, which open on Sunday 16th July when hosts The Netherlands take on Norway.

All England and Scotland games will be live on Channel 4 or More4 and all tournament matches will be available live on All 4.
