ENGINE to lead brand and creative development whilst Goodstuff has been engaged to handle media planning and buying

Newly launched online car retail platform Cazoo today announces that it has appointed two leading agencies to create and deliver its multi-million pound above the line launch campaign later this year.

ENGINE has been appointed to lead on the Cazoo brand and creative development whilst Goodstuff has been engaged to handle media planning and buying for the launch campaign. The agencies will report to Cazoo’s brand marketing director, Lucas Bergmans.

Both agencies have impressive track records and client lists that include household names such as Sky, E.ON, Under Armour, Dominos, Santander and Royal Navy for ENGINE and Secret Escapes, Dunelm, ITV, Hiscox and Yorkshire Tea for Goodstuff.

Having secured £30 million of seed funding last year, Cazoo has been busy assembling a world-class team ahead of its planned launch later this year. Cazoo aims to make buying a used car no different to buying any other product online today by letting consumers select from thousands of cars online and have it delivered to their door in as little as 48 hours.

Commenting on the agency appointments, Darren Bentley chief customer officer of Cazoo said: “We are very excited to be working with both ENGINE and Goodstuff. It is clear from initial thinking that both agencies have a good understanding of our mission and vision and our culture of customer obsession and recognise that as a business we are entirely focused on delivering the UK’s best used car buying experience for consumers.”

Annie Gallimore, managing director of ENGINE said: "We’re delighted to be working with Cazoo. We’re fully behind their mission to transform the way people buy used cars in the UK and it’s an incredible opportunity to help build the brand from scratch."

Andrew Stephens, co-founder of Goodstuff said: “The used car market needs dragging into the 21st century and we’re delighted to be working with Cazoo and their impressive management team to lead that charge.”
