Cossette campaign reimagines everyday banking

Coast Capital is launching the Elevate Chequing Account amplified by an integrated campaign in partnership with their creative agency of record Cossette and media agency Cossette Media. The campaign features the Coast Capital trainer persona, who helps its members build their money muscle.

The Elevate Chequing Account

Coast Capital’s Elevate Chequing Account, which reimagines everyday banking to help make day-to-day transactions easier and more affordable for its members, and includes a free Coursera subscription unlocking free access to more than 11,000 world-class courses, guided projects, and certifications from 275 leading universities and companies including The University of Alberta, McMaster University, Yale, Princeton, Google, Microsoft, and Intuit.

Cossette used the insight that the only way to actually develop and grow - personally and financially - is if someone pushes you to be the best version of yourself.

The 360’ campaign will span Radio, OOH, TSA, Social, and PR.

To further demonstrate the urgent need for this account, Coast commissioned an Omnibus on the Angus Reid Forum through its PR agency of record, Citizen Relations.

“Everyday Canadians need new strategies to grow their income, yet this just isn’t an innovation we’ve seen from the banks. We’ve challenged that status quo with Elevate, a first-of-its-kind account that aims to help people in Canada elevate their earning potential. We’re excited about how this advancement will help Coast continue to invest in the success of our members and communities.” said Andrew Rusk, vice president of marketing, Coast Capital.

“Selecting the right financial partner is a difficult decision for most Canadians. And in many cases, people are left feeling like they’re in a very one-sided relationship—the financial institution gets their investment, but they don’t get much in return. That sparked something for us. Like a personal trainer, Coast is helping people get financially fit so that they can actually grow their income.” said Subtej Nijjar, chief strategy officer at Cossette.
