Bleecker Street’s 'Sasquatch Sunset' Makes World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival

Directed by duo David and Nathan Zellner, Bleecker Street’s 'Sasquatch Sunset' will make its World Premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival. Featuring Riley Keough, Jesse Eisenberg, Nathan Zellner and Christophe Zajac-Denek, the film follows a year in the life of a singular family.

“We love the team at Heard City and have been fortunate enough to mix all our films there,” shares Heard City client and filmmaker David Zellner. “Our latest film ‘Sasquatch Sunset’ was particularly challenging in terms of the nuances of its intricate sound design, and Evan knocked it out of the park, it’s our best mix yet.”

'Sasquatch Sunset' will premiere on January 19th at 6:15 p.m. MST in the Eccles Theatre with additional screenings through January 27th in the Ray Theatre, Egyptian Theatre, Rose Wagner Centre and Redstone Cinemas. 

“The sound mix for ‘Sasquatch Sunset’ was a unique experience for me,” comments Heard City sound designer/mixer Evan Mangiamele. “With no spoken dialogue, there was so much space in the soundtrack to let the sound design (Jack Sobo) and music (Octopus Project) shine. It was lovely working with David and Nathan on the mix. They had a strong point of view on how their film should sound, but were very open and collaborative in experimenting with other ideas and directions for the mix. I’m so glad they trusted us with the sound mix and can’t wait for people to see and hear the film.”
