Berlin Fashion Film Festival Goes Creative Speed Dating in London

On November 11, 2016, “Creative Speed Dating” will launch in the British capital.

The London edition will be the first of a Europe wide event series, aimed at connecting young and unsigned directing talents with leading production companies. Core to the series is, giving young directors the chance to apply for one-on-one meetings with leading production companies. Furthermore the event’s concept involves screening remarkable video content and offering networking possibilities for creatives and inspiring people from the industry.

The kick-off edition will be hosted by Glassworks on the 11th of november and will feature a screening of some of the winning films from Berlin fashion Film Festival 2016. For this London session, directors can now register for meeting opportunities with companies such as B-Reel Films, Black Dog Films, Glassworks Productions, Great Guns, Prettybird and RSA.

About the format of the event, Frank Funke, CSD founder and Festival Director of the Berlin Fashion Film Festival, states: “We’ve seen so many interesting directors, for whom it’s hard to take their career to the next level. Production companies on the other hand are always on the lookout for fresh talents but often don’t find the time to scout them. With Creative Speed Dating we’re building a platform that serves both as a matchmaking tool, which they can use to introduce themselves to each other in an intimate and casual set-up. With Creative Speed Dating we’re following one of Berlin fashion Film Festival’s core values, which is: Connecting People!”

Following the launch event in London there will be Creative Speed Dating sessions in Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Amsterdam and Berlin.
