Eclectic Music calls on London’s ad scene to compete in the ultimate DJ mix-off this summer
Eclectic Music, in conjunction with Little Black Book, launches a competition to find the best DJs in the London advertising scene. Battle of the DJs follows the success of Battle of the Bands, which saw the city’s top agencies and production companies competing to win the title.
The last event saw companies including Saatchi & Saatchi, The Mill, RSA, DDB, AMVBBDO, WCRS, The Whitehouse, and Sapient Nitro (now SapientRazorfish) represented. This year, Eclectic resurrects the idea with a modern twist, calling on companies to nominate a DJ team or an individual to battle it out on the decks.
The rules are simple: each act will compete on stage to a great crowd. They have 20 minutes to blow the audience's mind with remixes, original pieces, or a combination thereof. The act must be made up of at least 50% agency/prod co (i.e. your staff) but we are actively encouraging ringers. If you know someone famous, get them in!
Several heats and a final will all take place this summer (date and venue to be announced). The finalists will be determined by an independent jury. For the grand finale, our panel of judges will set a ‘task’ for the contestants and crown the winner.
The event is free to enter and winners will receive a fantastic prize, being invited to perform at a major industry event in the UK or abroad.
