adidas' Latest Installation Captures the Ultimate Display of Agility

Last week an adidas installation was unveiled in central London, just in front of the London eye, to launch the latest adidas boot franchise. Designed and built to convey one of the most difficult skills to express in football – the art of agility.

What is it that makes a player able to seemingly dance around defenders whilst dribbling at speed? To truly appreciate what it takes, Iris and adidas have painstakingly investigated trademark runs from adidas’ most agile players - Messi, Firmino, Bernardo Silva to name a few.

Using CGI to trace their movement, from the moment they receive the ball to the moment it leaves their feet, Iris created a series of 1 to 1 scale ‘slices’ of their bodies in motion, spaced at varying distance based on their velocity over ground. The entire sculpture is then wrapped in the exact same agility bandage used to create the new NEMEZIZ 19 boots, creating a beautiful volumetric form and physical manifestation of agility in action.
