Hoi Polloi Media is a production collective based in Brixton and Brighton. We work with agencies, brands and TV commissioners.
We work with Agencies without barriers. Sometimes as a traditional supplier, sometimes as part of an agency team, and sometimes as co-developers. Always we seek to work authentically in the public domain, creating work that can be shared. We create intelligent work that embeds itself in the mind.. We believe that brands are the new commissioners of video entertainment and the public arts. And in today’s world of conversation, that provenance is central to everything we do.
We are hoi polloi. Hello and welcome…
HPMedia Founded by Pete Shuttleworth
Pete produced for RSA and Black Dog for over 4 years. Including producing dozens of TV commercials around the world, a PBS mini-documentary for Kennedy/Marshall, a Channel 4 documentary, and a Massive Attack video. Pete then set up his first digital company, Pretzel Films. The company won multiple awards in each of its first 8 years and grew to a staff of 25. In 2013, Pete left to work briefly at AMV BBDO. Here, he co-produced 2 BySainsbury’s TV campaigns, AMV’s first Vine campaign, TV idents for Channel 4, and an online film for Blackberry featuring Lewis Hamilton. Now Pete actively produces as much of the output of Hoi Polloi as possible, and Exec Produces the rest to maintain the high quality of work we aim to deliver.
