Cancer Research UK: The Power of a Signature
Loco is proud to share our latest commercial, directed by Darren Statman for Cancer Research UK. Loco’s production and post teams seamlessly interweave stock footage and specially shot material to take viewers on a journey exploring the impact of signatures throughout our lives in order to encourage people to sign and leave a gift in their Will to CRUK.
Working closely with agency Atomic, Loco handled all aspects of production and post from the creative treatment through to delivery for broadcast. Shot on location in London on the Sony F55 by DOP Nathan Sheppard, Jon Davey and Lee Bamsey applied a VFX and grading treatment to create the looks of the 1960s, 70s for two of the scenes. One of our favourite parts of this project was re-creating an ecstatic scene of teenage autograph seekers in the throws of Beatlemania. Next time you’re in a Loco grading session, see if you can spot the rock star. The emotive track from Resonate ties the scenes together, while the warm, engaging voice over from Georgina Sutcliffe delivers the message to “help write an end to cancer”.
