We created the Rear View Film Festival to highlight the Fiat Freemont’s rear view camera. It was the first time that a Fiat car offered this feature, which other brands had already launched a few years ago. In order to not repeat the same formula as the competition - TV commercials and magazine ads – we created a film festival using the car’s rear view camera. We played the short films at a festival for journalists specialized in cars, opinion makers and the mainstream media. In addition, we had the shorts played in movie theaters as though they were trailers, and we also made the movies available on the Internet. In this way we set ourselves apart from the competition, creating content for the brand in a way that was unique, unusual and, better yet, fun.
