Imperial War Museum | Fierce Light

To mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme, the Imperial War Museum commissioned six directors to create new work inspired by the conflict and its modern legacy. Directed by George Belfield of Somesuch, this beautifully shot film features a specially commissioned poem by Irish Pulitzer Prize winning poet, Paul Muldoon, about an Irish recruit remembering a woman and the landscapes of Ireland. We licensed an ethereal track from enigmatic vaporwave artist, 2814, to provide the soundscape.
