Global swimwear specialist Speedo pushes fitness enthusiasts to challenge their regime, with first TVC campaign in over a decade.

Short film looks at the powerful impact swimming can play in a fitness routine as it explores its benefits when united with other sports. London, 26th May 2016: Speedo is on a mission to disrupt the ‘slave to routine’ mentality held by fitness enthusiasts, with their first foray into Broadcast in over a decade for their latest global campaign, ‘Speedo Fit’. Launching in over 50 markets globally, Speedo hopes to build a global swim movement, by challenging people to question their current fitness regime, and bring swimming into it. Having recently launched the Team Speedo ‘Winning Elements’ campaign backed by the Global Team Speedo elite athletes, iris has again teamed up with Speedo to elevate the reputation of the sport to one renowned for not only delivering a full body workout, but one that benefits other sport training at the same time. ‘There’s fit and there’s Speedo fit’, is unlike most similar campaigns in the category – in that it features and champions other sports, to demonstrate how swimming can complement and improve fitness and training. Part of a fully integrated campaign, the 60-second film shows a series of people pushed to their limits whilst undertaking a range of sporting activities. Their athletic actions are mirrored by powerful movements created in the pool as viewers are encouraged to ‘Swim your way to a new level of fitness’. It’s no secret that when it comes to training, it’s easy to get stuck in a routine. The campaign is aimed specifically at the fitness enthusiast market, to encourage people to challenge the regime. After all, as Speedo says, ‘The most powerful thing you can do to your routine is to change it’. The TVC will be shown in 1.20” and 30” formats, with assets available for adaption for local markets. The integrated campaign will be adopted globally in the 170 regions Speedo is present and will run across TVC, Social, Digital and Print.
