Zoosk Celebrates NYC Holiday Magic with Interactive Mistletoe Billboard

MUH-TAY-ZIK HOF-FER creates billboard with protruding bundle of mistletoe

Integrated ad agency MUH-TAY-ZIK HOF-FER recently created an interactive billboard for online dating service Zoosk. Located in New York City on the corner of 53rd Street and 6th Avenue, the billboard protrudes a bundle of mistletoe that is three feet in diameter. Between December 19th and January 3rd, those who find themselves under the mistletoe can enjoy and share their “Mistletoe Moments” on social media using Zoosk’s #FirstComesLike, as captured in the video below.

 

Consistent with Zoosk’s messaging of “First Comes Like,” the creative team set out to bring the emotions of ‘being in like’ into the physical space and to celebrate the holiday season. The magical and romantic feel of New York City during the holidays combined with the tradition of Mistletoe sets the stage for people in like to share a kiss without the added pressures of wondering when it’s ok to kiss someone you you’re ‘in like with.’  But it’s mistletoe, after-all, so couples, friends, and strangers alike are all encouraged to meet underneath the mistletoe.
