WPP Health Practice Boosts Leadership in the UK as Business Expands

Caroline Howe will lead WPP Health Practice in the UK as Simon Stebbing is promoted to UK CEO for Wunderman Thompson Health

WPP Health Practice announced today two senior appointments in the UK. Caroline Howe will take on the newly created position of WPP Health Practice UK country lead. Also, as Wunderman Thompson Health continues the expansion of its UK offer, Simon Stebbing is promoted to UK CEO.

In her new role, Caroline Howe will oversee teams across the UK’s WPP Health Practice brands including Sudler London, Ogilvy Health, WG Access, Wunderman Thompson Health London and Darwin Healthcare Communications. Caroline has over 25 years’ experience in healthcare integrated marketing having been a practice lead or client lead in advertising, digital, PR, and medical education. Caroline will retain her position as CEO of Ogilvy Health in the UK and report into International CEO WPP Health Practice, Claire Gillis.

Simon Stebbing, former managing director of digital and advertising at Ogilvy Health UK, will now lead the team at Wunderman Thompson Health in London. He will retain his role as international head of digital for WPP Health Practice and report into Claire Gillis, international CEO WPP Health Practice. As Wunderman Thompson Health continues to build out its offering in Europe, Simon will also work with Becky Chidester, CEO Wunderman Thompson Health.

With these two promotions, Caroline and Simon will be tasked with continuing the expansion of the WPP Health Practice offer across the UK, with a focus on leveraging the expertise and capabilities within the group to encompass pharmaceuticals, OTC, Prescription medicine, eCommerce, health insurers and hospitals. Data, insight, technology and creativity will continue to play a major role in the client work they undertake.
