The move strengthens data capabilities to help clients measure and iterate post-launch

Work & Co has reached a deal to acquire Acknowledge Digital, an emerging leader in delivering digital growth strategies guided by data, analytics, and business intelligence.

Effective immediately, Acknowledge becomes a standalone brand under the Work & Co banner, joining Work & Co’s team of 350 people across its six global offices.

“We founded Work & Co with a vision to become the leader in creating transformative digital products and experiences,” said Work & Co partner and co-founder Mohan Ramaswamy. “For our next phase of growth, we’ve been studying the landscape to identify companies with complimentary service offerings - ones that are aligned with our focus on owning the digital product design and development process from end-to-end. Acknowledge joining the Work & Co family helps us bring clients more post-launch capabilities, so we can analyse, measure and continually iterate the apps, e-commerce platforms, AI tools, and other digital products we put out in the world.”

Based in Manhattan, Acknowledge has a 36-person team of experts in digital strategy, research, data engineering, media-planning, SEO, and consumer psychology. Since opening in 2012, Clients have included: Vice, Giphy, A&E Networks, Four Seasons, and Goop.

“The expertise we provide to our clients is extremely complimentary,” said Acknowledge CEO Toby Evers. “Work & Co designs and builds world-class products while Acknowledge brings digital strategies to optimise the customer journey, improving those products over time. Our ability to work together is proven, since we’ve collaborated on projects for the past six years, starting with Virgin America.”

For Work & Co, the move comes as it had a record revenue year. It marks its second acquisition in less than six months; the company acquired Tendigi last fall.

“We will be opportunistic in evaluating other small-to-midsize deals in the next 18 months - but will only make moves that help us in our mission to consistently create the digital products and services that transform businesses,” said Mohan.
