Experiential production company Will O'Rourke
has two VR productions featured at this year's Sydney Film Festival. The
works created by VR collective Badfaith and Alex Smith are included as
part of the program, Virtual Reality at the Hub.
Orbital Vanitas
by Badfaith's Shaun Gladwell is a sci-fi mystery meditation that perches
you in the Earth's orbit, bringing you face to face to mortality.
Server Room Symphony directed by Alex Smith explores the future of 360
storytelling, entering a whimsically chaotic scene in which characters'
actions form the basis of a music track. The films were included as part
of two multi film experiences. The other program experiences curated by
Badfaith feature Within's Life Of Us and Felix and Paul Studios'
Miyubi.
To hear Badfaith talking about the Orbital Vanitas work
come along to the Hub downstairs at the Town Hall today at 5pm,
presented by Vivid Ideas and Sydney Film Festival.
