Part of the Fringe programme, the fully interactive music workshop aims to immerse participants in the world of sonic branding
D&AD is bringing industry and new creative talent face to face thanks to their 2018 New Blood Festival edition taking place in Shoreditch, London from July 12th to July 14th.

Young creatives and industry professionals will meet for a double whammy: a free exhibition and a series of Fringe events – talks, workshops, screenings and tours featuring top agencies and studios.

As part of the Fringe programme, international creative music agency MassiveMusic will present ‘What Does Brand X Sound Like?’, a fully interactive music workshop hosted by MassiveMusic’s Alex Normanton (EU Creative Director for Music & Brands) and Paul Stroud (In-house Composer).

The aim is to immerse participants in the world of sonic branding, starting with an introduction into translating creative thinking into sound and music. The workshop will end with a practical music assignment, with the audience being divided into four mini teams to generate ideas based on a live brief.

Following the workshop, Alex Normanton will host a 2-hour ‘New Blood Radio’ session at The Old Truman Brewery, with the winning team from the workshop as special guests. MassiveMusic London's Managing Director Paul Reynolds will also be present together with Paul Stroud, bringing his insights on how to go from creative direction to composition.

Alex Normanton is the EU Creative Director of Music & Brands at international creative music agency MassiveMusic. He has been working in the creative industry for nearly two decades.

Paul Stroud works as In-house Composer at MassiveMusic London, composing and producing at the fore of sonic branding and advertising campaigns.
