Christina Lu brings 18 years of digital experience, including senior roles at Wunderman/Agenda, OgilvyOne and more to the role

Wavemaker China has named Christina Lu as its new CSO.

At Wavemaker China, Christina will lead and develop the strategic and creative business solutions that will help brands identify and capture growth opportunities. She will work closely with Gordon Domlija, the agency’s Greater China CEO in evolving the agency structure and proposition as a next generation business partner to Wavemaker clients.

Christina replaces Charlie Wright, who is moving into a new Wavemaker role outside of China. Charlie has been with MEC and then Wavemaker in China for three and a half years, leading a team of more than 50 Strategy, Insight, Analytics and Content experts. She has overseen the product transformation of MEC and the creation of Wavemaker’s strategic offer since the company launched in December 2017.

“Today brands grow through unique narratives and vivid articulations via experiences across touchpoints.” Said Christina, “I am excited to be a part of Wavemaker, working with a diverse and talented team to unlock the potential of brands by turning consumer purchase journey insights into strategy, stories and experiences.”

“We have experienced phenomenal growth in scale and diversity of client assignments since we launched Wavemaker nine months ago. In Christina we have brought another exceptional talent to Wavemaker, someone whom I know will be a catalyst for the continued development of creativity and integrated business planning that brands need to win in China” said Gordon Domlija.

Christina brings to Wavemaker a wealth of expertise and capabilities accumulated over 18 years of digital experience, including senior roles at Wunderman/Agenda, OgilvyOne and most recently at Isobar China Group, where she was responsible for integrated solutions to drive clients’ digital transformation agendas.

Christina’s career has seen her excel in roles including business and discipline leadership, experience consulting, digital strategy and creative development. This makes her uniquely placed to help clients navigate the increasingly complex and fragmented digital landscape, build learning through data and optimize business return on investment through the customer purchase journey.

Christina will be based in Shanghai and report to Gordon Domlija, CEO of Wavemaker Greater China.
