New podcasts and expanded series from Recode, Eater, Vox, SB Nation and more double size of Vox Media Podcast Network

Vox Media has announced a full slate of new podcast series, new podcast seasons and expansions of popular shows, all available this fall, nearly doubling the podcast programming from the Vox Media Podcast Network.

The Vox Media Podcast Network will produce even more original, nonfiction programming through brand-new podcasts: Recode’s Pivot with Kara Swisher and Scott Galloway, Eater's Start to Sale, Vox’s Future Perfect, SB Nation’s It Seemed Smart and a new show hosted by technologist Anil Dash. Vox will also be premiering new seasons of popular shows - Vox’s The Impact, The Verge’s Why’d You Push That Button? and Polygon’s The History of Fun; expanding hit series - The Verge’s The Vergecast and Vox’s The Ezra Klein Show - to each air twice per week; and launching special episodes of Vox’s The Weeds leading up to the midterm elections. Vox is also releasing a new portfolio of 30-plus NFL podcasts - one for each NFL team - from SB Nation.

You can check out the full slate from Vox Media Podcast Network here.

“The breadth of our new slate signifies just where the Vox Media Podcast Network is headed,” said Marty Moe, president of Vox Media. “Never has our podcasting been stronger - from the talent, to the studio capabilities, to the diversity of programming, not to mention the innovative advertising opportunities. Our audiences have come to respect the authority we have in so many categories, so we’re excited to introduce a whole new lineup of shows that they can tune into for nearly every relevant topic.”

“We're thrilled to welcome Scott Galloway to the Vox Media Podcast Network and excited to hear him make more bold technology and media predictions with Kara Swisher,” said Nishat Kurwa, executive producer of audio at Vox Media.

When asked for comment, Scott Galloway said, “I just go where they send me. Recode is a great platform and Kara is an original thinker. Let’s cause some trouble.”

As affinity for podcasts continues to grow, the Vox Media Podcast Network has become a leading publisher of high-quality audio programming, with significant investments in production, talent, marketing and sales. Vox Media offers a comprehensive set of podcast advertising opportunities that include and go beyond the traditional host read, such as Kara Swisher’s HBO-sponsored fictional interview with Silicon Valley’s Russ Hanneman on Recode Decode. Participating sponsors in this fall’s slate include Smartwater, Quickbooks, TriNet and other leading brands in technology, food & beverage and finance.

With the release of the fall slate, the Vox Media Podcast Network now includes a broad portfolio across business, technology, news & policy, sports and dining. The Vox Media Podcast Network produces a variety of popular podcasts across Vox Media’s editorial networks and with select external partners, including Recode’s Recode Decode, hosted by Kara Swisher and Recode Media with Peter Kafka; The Verge’s The Vergecast and Converge; Vox’s The Ezra Klein Show, The Weeds and Today, Explained; plus many more from SB Nation, Eater and Polygon.
