The Goods by Voxa new section on Vox Media’s news brand, Vox has now launched.

The Goods by Vox is focused on consumerism and why we buy what we buy. The new section gives audiences the information needed to be savvy consumers, and more broadly, to understand trends big and small in tech, design, retail, fashion, food and drink, travel, wellness and more.

Read a note from Vox’s Editor-in-Chief Lauren Williams introducing The Goods by Vox here, saying, “Trends and popular products offer a fascinating glimpse into our joys and anxieties, our moments of prosperity, and our times of desperation. They also reflect how our way of life is changing — from the technology we invest in to the companies we choose to trust and support.”

Vox’s mission has always been to explain the news and help audiences understand the world. The Goods by Vox is built to explain consumer culture, and help audiences better understand how purchases reflect our collective identity as a culture, as industries and as individuals.

The Goods by Vox’s editorial team will publish a range of news, features, ongoing series, videos and Explainers each weekday. There will be an email newsletter delivering The Goods by Vox content to your inbox twice per week: subscribe here!

Vox’s Deputy Managing Editor Eleanor Barkhorn will oversee The Goods by Vox, as well as a team of talented reporters and editors, including Editor Julia Rubin and Deputy Editors Meredith Haggerty and Alanna Okun.

The Goods by Vox launches in partnership with American Express. American Express and Vox Creative, Vox Media’s branded content practice, teamed up to create custom content that is rolling out across The Goods by Vox beginning this month, including a new branded Explainer series on the experience economy coming in October.
