UK Real Estate Agency Disruptor Purplebricks Appoints VCCP Sydney for Australian Launch

Leading UK real estate company Purplebricks has appointed VCCP Sydney to launch the brand into Australia later this year.

It is understood that VCCP Sydney won the business after a competitive pitch against a number of leading agencies.

VCCP will lead the strategic and creative development of the brand and communications campaign in Australia, while PR agency Zing will lead communications for the company's launch. PHD will deliver all media planning and buying for the brand.

The launch campaign will focus on educating the Australian market about the Purplebricks hybrid proposition - and will be supported with spend across TV, radio, social, PR, activations and influencer engagement.

Purplebricks, a new hybrid real estate agency, combines the expertise of local real estate experts and technology to offer sellers a new way to sell their home at a highly competitive flat fee.

Says Gary Dawson, ECD at VCCP: "We're thrilled to be appointed by Purplebricks. This is a new model that is certain to disrupt the category and is a one that aims to ensure a fairer way to sell homes. As a challenger agency for challenger brands we look forward to helping firmly establish Purplebricks in the hearts and minds of Australians."

Says Ryan Dinsdale, CEO Purplebricks Australia:  "VCCP, Zing and PHD all displayed a solid understanding of our business objectives and marketing challenges as we launch in Australia.

"We were highly impressed by the quality of their creative and strategic thinking, and believe they will be instrumental in communicating our new model to Australian homeowners."
