This Interactive Nina Ricci Trailer Can Only Be Viewed in Pairs

To celebrate the grand premiere of Luna, the long-awaited counterpart to the brand’s iconic Nina, Nina Ricci (Puig Group) and its agency MNSTR created an international experiential campaign, rolling out in 10 countries.

MNSTR created an interactive trailer which can only be viewed in pairs, activated when two smartphones are held together side-by-side and a code is sent from one to the other.

The unique experience is further enriched with exclusive content, including digital material (GIFs, cinemagraphs, a trailer, and more) which enhance the ad’s universe. In certain countries (Mexico, Russia and France), the campaign also features three BFF blogger duos who incarnate the Luna & Nina spirits.

As an agency specialised in storytelling, MNSTR’s goal was to create a story depicting the friendship between the faces of the two fragrances. The film, “Les Belles de Nina”, recounts the friendship of the two perfumes’ spokesmodels, a bond that exists both on screen and off. Model Jac Jagaciak, who was chosen as the new face of Luna, and Frida Gustavsson, who has embodied Nina since 2013, are friends in real life as well.

Together, the two stars reinforce the connection between the perfumes and are at the heart of this international campaign, shot and produced in the style of a cinematic trailer. Much like the bonus features one finds on a DVD, the interactive mobile trailer is complete with additional exclusive content.

To emphasise the storytelling, MNSTR focused on the interactivity between the devices, linking it to the idea that you have to be with a friend to activate the story behind Nina and the new fragrance, Luna, using the unique code.  

"Our goal was to give a cinematic dimension to the Nina & Luna story in giving access to unpublished content from the ad with a unique accessible, immersive, mobile experience when 2 friends were side by side," explains Perrine Lizé, Associate Managing Director of MNSTR.
