New York integrated production company sends an altruistic alternative to the traditional holiday card

In this time of giving, receiving a bottle of wine, box of chocolates or just a simple email can go a long way, but with so much holiday consumption, gifts of gratitude can often get lost in the pile. Instead, the STUDIO thanks its clients in a different way; donating to those in need on their behalf.

Mary Nittolo, CCO and Founder of the STUDIO, and her team are making donations to the Children’s Health Fund (CHF) in the names of those who receive their Holiday Card. The CHF is committed to providing health care to some of the most vulnerable children in America, and Mary and the STUDIO have been supporting the organization for over a decade.

Mary comments: “The CHF is such an extraordinary organization and the fact that it was started thanks to the vision and generosity of an artist, musician Paul Simon, is something that isn’t lost on a creative community.”

The holiday card itself is a beautifully crafted festive animation. Creative leads, Alison Abitbol and Adam Rozanski, along with 3D Artists Eric Kilanski and Jackie Garbuio, have created a continuous-take animation which traverses a delightful snowy winter village. The camera passes through various holiday scenes employing a festive colour palette and simple geometrical designs, appearing as if the landscape exists in a 2.5D world made up of textured card planes.

“I’m delighted with this year’s holiday card,” says Mary, “our creative team was excited to be able to produce an animation worthy of our relationship with the Children’s Health Fund. Our clients’ continued delight in receiving the annual animation reinforces our commitment to the power ideas have to persuade.”
