The Mill London Creates Egg-Citing App for Easter

The Mill London reveals an egg-citing app for Easter allowing users to customise their own Mill Easter egg via the #milleggstractor.

 Clients, staff and passers-by are invited to craft their very own, bespoke Mill Easter egg  via ‘The Mill Egg-stractor’, a web app which uses generative design and procedural patterns to create a number of personalised designs.

Using the URL ‘www.milleggstractor.co.uk’, the user will be brought to a platform where they can personalise their very own bespoke egg, which they can share on Instagram through a competition for the most inventive egg using #milleggstractor.

The Mill will also be hosting a nest of real life Easter bunnies in The Loft for visitors to the studio on Thursday as well as hot cross buns for one and all on each floor!

Mill CG Design Director Will MacNeil explains ‘A wave of recent interactive design projects has required a cultural exchange between our Design and Emerging Tech Departments.

We decided we wanted to expand on some of the things we’ve learned by combining traditional design and animation with things like WebGL and App design. It turns out our coding friends are not only geniuses, they’re also great fun to work with. The result is the ‘Mill-Eggstractor’.
