The Essential List: Tamon Fujimi
Tamon Fujimi was born in Tokyo, where he now works as MassiveMusic’s director of creative development for the APAC region, but he spent some time across the Pacific before returning to his roots in Japan. He spent his student years in California studying sociology and got to know the US after that, touring the country opening for artists such as LMFAO and Trace Cyrus as synth player / arranger in a party rock band called Joy Island.
Although his day job is now a touch less rock-and-roll, he still composes and produces music for production duo Cedrics and harbours a mischievous passion for mashing up pop songs, like this masterful hybrid of three different K-pop songs he helped to create a few years back.
