There’s no stopping team GB as they celebrate Olympic success with Queen’s classic hit
As the embers of the extinguished Olympic flame cool, and London returns to normal functioning, Team GB still has a lot of celebrating to do. No knees-up is complete without a bit of a singsong, so adidas brought together a selection of their sponsored Team GB athletes for a rousing rendition of Queen's Don't Stop Me Now.
Medallists Sir Chris Hoy, Jessica Ennis, Victoria Pendleton, Louis Smith, and Pete Reed are joined by a number of other athletes from Team GB in their own version of Queen’s ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ - a unique video toasting the success of the Team and capturing the mood of the nation.
The lyrics perfectly reflect the success that Team GB has achieved and the nations overwhelming response to the Games.
Not only is the film a celebration of Britain’s sporting talent, it’s also a testament creative and production prowess. Shot on Saturday and released on Sunday, the video demanded a fast turnaround as director Philip Bloom coaxed karaoke performances from busy athletes.
adidas UK Marketing Director Nick Craggs said: “adidas is the Olympic brand and this video is a great demonstration of how we have supported Team GB and captured the mood of the nation. London 2012 will be remembered as the best Olympic Games ever and this is a celebration of adidas’ Take The Stage campaign and the amazing achievements Team GB athletes have accomplished.”
