Emma Ibbetson joins as EP and Pete Addington joins as Head of 3D and Technology

Taylor James announces Emma Ibbetson’s arrival to the London studio as the Executive Producer and Pete Addington as the Head of 3D and Technology.

Ibbetson will oversee the studio’s creative productions. She brings over 25 years of production experience across a diverse range of VFX, CGI, digital, animation, film and technology-driven projects and has established pipelines and workflows for production hubs around the world. She has collaborated on creative projects with partners in every global market including Audi, Vice Media/TCP, Working Title Films, Samsung, Sony, Guinness, Unilever, the BBC, The Serpentine Gallery and many more.

“At Taylor James, it’s second nature to embrace all media and approaches in an intuitive and intelligent way. The level of craft, skills, brand insight and the care they invest in concept development and planning of cross-discipline projects is very impressive,” says Ibbetson. “I love working within teams where creative and technology evolve seamlessly and expansively, where concept development is held in high regard. It’s hugely exciting to be immersed in a studio with this amount of potential, depth of experience, and calibre of talent.”

“I’m thrilled to have Emma join—she is the most technical producer in London and has collaborated with the best creative talent in our industry,” says Brendan Haley, Executive Creative Director at Taylor James. “Her technical and creative skills paired with her impressive business resume will be central to elevating Taylor James to the next level as we continue to expand our footprint across Europe and the USA.”

Addington brings over 15 years of experience to the growing production studio. As The Head of 3D and Technology, he will be responsible for the overall direction of the 3D team, enhancing pipelines and pushing innovation and technology on a continual basis.

“Understanding workflows and having the right tools in place allows artists to thrive,” says Addington, “and embracing new technology allows them to create great work.  I am impressed with the calibre of talent at Taylor James and am excited to lead the technological development of such a skilled group.”

Addington previously served as the Head of 3D Pipeline at Nexus for 5 years, where he oversaw animation systems, developed toolsets, and served as an advisor to the artists. He has worked on projects for Vodafone, Tropicana and Umpqua, and several iconic spots such as Disney's “Invade All Of The Humans” and the BBC's 2015 Christmas campaign.

“Taylor James was one of the early adopters of CGI and we have an industry-leading Research and Development Team. With Pete coming on board, we are ensuring that technological advancement and innovation continue to be prioritised across our business.” says Nick Berry, COO of Taylor James. “We are excited to welcome Pete and Emma as we continue to find new ways to tell our client’s stories.”
