Sub Rosa Launches 'Orgasmic' Print Publication
Experience design firm, Sub Rosa, has just launched its inaugural print issue of La Petite Mort, a free, bi-annual creative writing and photography publication featuring the work of designers, storytellers and artists from within Sub Rosa’s staff and extended contacts.
La Petite Mort is a French euphemism for orgasm - "the little death." Every moment of passion destroys as much as it empowers. The magazine is a liberation of self and gratification of curiosity in an attempt to release the mental and emotional sparkle that defines their days. According to Sub Rosa, people spend their days rapt in the creation of magical and passionate moments. But not all of these experiences are lasting nor are all of them predestined. Some are frankly more apt to be experienced in the moment. La Petite Mort is the expression of that moment and this magazine is Sub Rosa's first embrace of experience "in the moment."
The first issue covers a range of topics including what your astrological sign says about your bedroom behavior, Makerbot technology and even the sacred art of river watching. It also features the acclaimed work of Naomi Harris, an award-winning photographer whose work has appeared in publications such as Marie Claire UK, Time Magazine and New York Times Magazine, and Sean Carasso, Founder of Falling Whistles, a non-profit organization campaigning for peace and investment in the Democratic Republic of the Congo - among others.
