Fresh Film director Pascal Dash teams with Emma D’Hoeraene to direct dark, sexy promo

This December sees the release of Paris-based artist Anton Dhouran’s first album, 'The Myth Of Tarae' on the London-based record label Chapter 24. The title track of the video has been written in association with the talented English singer Ed Begley. It’s typically epic in its breadth and narrative as Dhouran effortlessly blends electronic, instrumental and cinematic styles, creating a sound for which he is becoming renowned. The album is to be accompanied by a short film, which reflects his music in its scope and ambition.

Fresh Film director, Pascal Dash, co-directed the film along with Emma D’Hoeraene. Dhouran knew that Pascal’s visual style and VFX experience along with the formidable talents of the young director Emma presented the perfect combination for his film. Within the three-minute promo Dhouran hopes to convey his belief that society and humans are indifferent to their surroundings. As a race we’re in danger of allowing the natural world to be destroyed. Once destroyed, there is no planet B.

Dhouran challenged directors Pascal and Emma to create a film on an apocalyptic scale. In order to do this the directors combined photos and rushes that were shot all over the world. Within the film there are drone shots from Africa, a studio shoot in Paris, along with 3D and VFX shots. The film visually poses the question "Can we continue to kill our planet when we have no other?"

The end result is an otherworldly experience, taking the viewer on a journey of intense emotions.
