St Luke’s has announced the launch of Apostle,
its in-house production company. Apostle will be headed
by Sye Allen, a director who also works outside the classical realm of
advertising. The agency realised how complimentary relevant extracurricular pursuits can
be to the role and the business.
Over the last few years, he has created a
musical scoring competition in collaboration with St.Johns Waterloo and the
BFI.
The last three years have seen films written
and directed by Sye that have formed the centre piece of the competition,
last year receiving hundreds of entrants from across the globe.
The winning scores are played to the film, at the BFI cinema by the Southbank Sinfonia.
In addition, the in-house facility is gaining momentum and recognition, having created promos for artists such as Paloma Faith and the Noisettes, as well as producing campaign adverts for many of St Luke's clients both past and present including Littlewoods, Very, Strongbow, Mooncup, Majestic Wine and Knopka.
