BBDO NY launches latest holiday spot directed by O Positive's Jim Jenkins

Russell Westbrook, Dr. Phil & More Star in New Foot Locker & Jordan Brand Ad

Foot Locker and Jordan Brand debut their new holiday spot, “Fly Your Own Way,” featuring NBA star Russell Westbrook. The 60-second commercial shows Westbrook talking to a fan who wants to be just like him. 

The two are quickly interrupted by ESPN analyst Jalen Rose, CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta, television host/producer Melissa Rivers, talk show personality Dr. Phil and more, as they explain how unlikely it is for the fan to be exactly like Westbrook. Westbrook assures his fan that being his authentic, true self is better than being like someone else. “We’re excited to partner with Jordan Brand for another holiday season to provide our customers with the most premium sneakers, apparel and gear,” said Stacy Cunningham, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Foot Locker. “We always enjoy working with Russell Westbrook, and we are happy to add a number of new faces to the Foot Locker holiday campaign.”  


“I always have fun working with Foot Locker and Jordan Brand, but this commercial was particularly memorable with so many different people and well-known personalities,” said Westbrook. “This holiday season I want to inspire my fans to stay true to themselves and be who they are.” 

The commercial debuts online and via broadcast on TNT today. The spot features the Jordan XX9 Low, launching at Foot Locker stores and on footlocker.com tomorrow, Dec. 4. The spot was created by worldwide agency BBDO.

Also for the holiday season, Foot Locker is offering the Jordan Brand Holiday Wish List – the holiday card that delivers. The Jordan Holiday Wish List allows consumers to create a personalized holiday list filled with their favorite Jordan products and share the unique Wish List via email and social media channels.
