Peter Skalberg Appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Y&R Indochina

Sanjay Bhasin, CEO Y&R Southeast Asia today announced the appointment of Peter Skalberg as Chief Executive Officer, Y&R Indochina.

Based in Ho Chi Minh City, Skalberg will manage all Y&R’s operations in Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos. Y&R Indochina was launched early in 2014, as part of the network’s continued efforts to build the sub-region’s advertising industry. Skalberg also replaces Vincent Van Dessel who is stepping down as CEO Y&R Vietnam.

An international business director with over 20 years’ experience in the APAC region, Skalberg started out in advertising at George Patterson Y&R in his native Australia. His agency experience spans Bates Vietnam, then Singapore, Rediffusion Y&R India and most recently McCann’s. He boasts extensive client expertise on big brands including Nestle, Coke, GM and Heineken, having held major account and agency management and business director roles.
