The site, which mimics a well-known dating app that rhymes with ‘Cinder’, urges users to swipe left or right through a series of cats’ profiles.

Pavone Marketing Group has acquired Philadelphia shop DDCworks, expanding the company’s Philadelphia presence and growing the agency’s healthcare and retail portfolio.

“This acquisition is an acceleration of Pavone Marketing Group’s healthcare marketing strategy,” said Michael Pavone, President & CEO of Pavone Marketing Group. “DDC will be added to PMG's inceptive agency, Pavone. It will add more focus and depth to our health, medical device, and pharmaceutical expertise for companies that are looking for an agency ingrained in the healthcare space, and who has proven experience in reaching consumers. That is what Pavone and DDCworks has been built on."

The pairing of two independent agencies combines Pavone Marketing Group’s 26 years of experience with DDCworks’ 50 years in the Philadelphia market and the acquisition brings Pavone Marketing Group’s total staff in Philadelphia to more than 20 team members.

The acquisition adds new clients to Pavone Marketing Group’s healthcare and medical device client portfolio including Insulet Corporation’s Omnipod® Insulin Management System which was recently brought on as a new client through DDCworks over the summer. Pavone Marketing Group and DDCworks collaborated on the account prior to the merger of the two independent agencies.

Pavone Marketing Group includes Pavone – serving health systems, finance, retail and government; quench – a food and beverage agency with serving Sun-Maid, Starkist, Del Monte Turkey Hill Dairy, and Herr’s; and Varsity – which specializes in senior living and continuing care retirement communities including Presby’s Inspired Life, Saint John’s On The Lake, and Augustana Elim Care Services.

“This move is all about alignment, vision and a willingness to exceed client expectations — something both agencies have in common,” Mike Dicciccio, CEO of DDCWorks said. “Literally overnight we’ve become bigger, smarter and more experienced. That’s good news for us and better news for our clients.”

The DDCworks headquarters is at the Cast Iron Building in Philadelphia. Pavone Marketing Group is relocating its Philadelphia office to that location.
