In ‘Rain’ we find ourselves transported into a family home engulfed in a storm, the slow zoom of the camera and the heavy drip of the rain emphasise the surreal emptiness of the house. With its macro shots detailing family life; a puddle forming in the table of a baby’s highchair, sodden children’s paintings sliding down the face of a fridge door. Director Nadav Kander paints a chilling vision of the possible consequences when driving too fast in the rain.
