Object & Animal Opens Doors in LA and London

Object & Animal announces its global opening, featuring a diverse top-tier collective of directors, photographers, and multidisciplinary talent. With offices in London and Los Angeles, the creative studio is already producing commercials, branded content, music videos, films, and installations for forward-thinking agencies and clients worldwide.

 

UK partners Dom Thomas and Morgan Clement will head up the studio’s London location, while US partners James Cunningham and Justin Benoliel will represent in Los Angeles. Millie Yoxen, veteran art buyer and photo producer at Mother, BBH, and Saatchi, will lead O&A’s London-based photography division. Additionally, O&A are partnered with Spain’s O Creative Studios (helmed by acclaimed director Luis Cervero), repping their roster of talent in the UK, US & Canada, The Netherlands and Scandinavia.

With decades of advertising and narrative experience for the likes of Academy, Mother, and Stink Films between them, the partners’ proven foundation in both TVCs and nontraditional sectors positions Object & Animal at the vanguard of a rapidly evolving industry. “In whatever format we’re consuming media, the great unifier is the desire to be entertained,” says co-founder Dom Thomas. “That’s a driving force behind what we do, to create entertainment that inspires, educates, and is socially relevant. Great work must engage with the world, whether it’s a documentary or an ad or a photograph. We want the work to resonate with people.”

O&A co-founder James Cunningham says: “In the same way you talk about a director having a voice, we think of Object & Animal as having a voice. We are a creatively driven, collaborative, and socially conscious brand and we hope our clients come to us because of both the talent and the values that we offer.”

Object & Animal’s roster of directors, photographers and creatives includes Karim Huu Do, Natalie Rae, Bright Black, Nick Walker, Diana Kunst, and FKA Twigs. Says O&A co-founder Morgan Clement, “Object & Animal is focused on engineering an ecosystem rather than an “egosystem”–––a roster of creatives and collaborators which serves as a destination for creative problem-solving.” 

These creations are already in evidence, with an impressive slate of early projects, including commercial work for Apple, Nike, Uber, Impossible Foods and Global Goals, and music videos for A$AP Rocky, Skepta, and Playboi Carti. On the photo front, division head Millie Yoxen says: “It’s exciting that photography sits alongside film at O&A as an important part of the company. We already have some brilliant projects coming up, following our recent work with i-D, Ralph Lauren and Nike.”

Additionally, O&A is in production on two feature documentary films, with a slate of others in development. Says partner Justin Benoliel, “The documentary wing of Object & Animal believes that storytelling should be timely as well as timeless, with the focus on a social voice with a global reach.”

 

Object & Animal is represented in the US by RED REPS on the west coast and MISS SMITH on the east coast.
