The team have been working for one of the world's biggest brands for 10 years, now Nomad's opened its doors to all
Nomad London has been working exclusively for one of the world’s biggest brands, producing high-spec post and versioning, for the past decade.  If you don’t know about them yet, you’re going to want to…

The Nomad group was founded in the US in 1996, when four partners wanted to do something a little different – develop a full-service, independent post house with a global reach, whilst maintaining a boutique feel. Nearly 25 years later, it is exactly this way of working that has earned Nomad a reputation as an award-winning industry leader, worldwide.

Their offices now span LA, New York and Tokyo, but you may not have known they’ve also been at home in London for the last 10 years. Nomad has been working exclusively on some of the world’s most illustrious campaigns with TBWA\Media Arts Lab. Producing high volumes of work in meticulous detail, and with unprecedented turnaround times, Nomad London's team have sharpened their craft to fine precision.

But what has changed is that this scrupulously honed skillset will now be available to more than the company's original client base. Their London shop is moving location and expanding to a new home in Covent Garden. Whilst the new facility has been designed specifically to cater for strict security protocols of their existing clients, the move and new building design has allowed for the team to offer these services to new clients too.

The office is headed by Liv Lawton who joined the editorial house as an executive producer in 2009. Now managing director, Liv has seen Nomad transform. Remarking on the company’s growth she says: “Our London base has tripled in size over the past 10 years. We’ve changed with the marketplace and the industry as a whole.”

Boasting an extensive list of capabilities, Nomad deliver online and visual effects, compositing, and picture finishing, amongst a whole host of other skills to turn clients’ ideas into reality. It's also built an impressively diverse client pool of leading production companies, advertising agencies and brands. Its roster includes Google, Mercedes, Facebook, Adidas, Starbucks and Tinder.

Nomad’s success is undoubtedly made possible by their 24-hour service. Located in multiple time zones, each office works through a tried and tested delivery pipeline that accommodates large volumes of files for worldwide distribution. Its editors also travel between the offices as needed, bringing different talent to markets across the globe.

Whilst other companies have also attempted to deviate from the traditional post-house model, Liv says Nomad’s success is grounded in its culture: “Communication is the key to making a 24-hour service work successfully. When co-ordinating work globally and sharing assets across different offices, communication remains central.” Liv continues: “We talk to our colleagues in the other offices as if they were in a different suite. Everyone knows who to speak to - even if they’re oceans apart.”

Nomad’s friendly atmosphere has remained central to its efficient model. Liv adds: “Nomad has always prided itself on doing great work and being nice. Everyone in each of the offices has the same goal - to do the best job possible. Our culture is all about collaboration. We’re very excited about what this move means for Nomad.”
