Nissan's Drivable Playstation Controller Hits the Road
Nissan is turning driving into entertainment by introducing The Controller – a concept product that enables a Nissan to interface with a PlayStation and Pro Evolution Soccer.
The Controller was created in collaboration with automotive, tech, sport and gaming experts together with TBWA\Helsinki, Sony PlayStation and Konami. With The Controller, people can use a Nissan as a controller for PES.
The idea originates from Nissan’s global 'Engineers of Excitement' collaboration with UEFA Champions League. This is the second season Nissan is sponsoring the UEFA Champions League and exploring new innovative ways to experience football. It plays on the excitement fuelling the automotive and football worlds to create an innovative brand experience.
The Controller started as an interactive expedition to drive football. Updates on the project development were constantly shared on social media. The finished product was unveiled during a fan event in Sweden coinciding with a Champions League game on 25 of November. The project gained huge media attention around the globe, all the way from Sweden to Japan and Brazil.
Now The Controller is ready to be enjoyed by greater audience. Car enthusiasts, tech heads and gamers alike might bump into The Controller at automotive events, UEFA Champions League matches and gaming conventions.
