New Music Monday: Three Special Manners McDade TV Now Released

New music from Jon Opstad, Afterhere and Miguel D'Oliveira
Jon Opstad has scored the 2nd series of epic ITV drama Safe House, starring Steven Moyer and Casualty’s Sunetra Sarker, after its successful first series with Christopher Eccleston. Jon Opstad is a London-based composer writing music for film, television, contemporary dance and live performance. Recent work has included scoring the critically-praised one-off Channel 4 drama Cyberbully, starring Maisie Williams, and Black Mirror: White Christmas, the feature length special of Charlie Brooker’s acclaimed dystopian drama series, starring Jon Hamm. Jon previously scored the White Bear episode of Black MirrorJon’s other recent commissions include C4 documentary series The Murder Detectives, the hit BBC3 drama series Thirteen, the Stephen Graham-starring TV movie The Watchman for C4the Louis Theroux special on the subject of Jimmy Savile, and American Justice, a 3-part documentary series for BBC2.
The 33-track beautiful score to Safe House is now available on Spotify, alongside Jon’s scores to Black Mirror and dance show Ignis.

Glenn Gregory & Berenice Scott, of Heaven 17 fame, are new to the Manners McDade roster as Afterhere and have scored the much-anticipated Monday night ITV drama, Liar. The show is created by duo Harry & Jack Williams, starring Ioan Gruffudd and Joanne Froggatt, and started on ITV earlier this month with its USA debut on Sundance TV this week. Afterhere are also due to release an album later this year - watch this space!

Miguel d’Oliveira has scored the moving 'Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy’ for HBO in this year’s celebration of the Princess’s life after her tragic death 20 years ago. Miguel has previously written music for documentary series The Bible: A History (C4), Great Ormond Street (BBC1), Simon Schama’s Shakespeare (BBC), and four films for the Cutting Edge strand. Miguel has also written for drama productions, including the 6-part mini-series Homefront (ITV), based on the experiences of army wives in the UK, and two episodes of Merlin (BBC). In 2016, Miguel scored The Met: Policing London (BBC), Joanna Lumley’s Siberian Train Adventure (BBC), the hugely popular reality TV series, First Dates (C4) and First Dates Hotel (C4).

His music for ‘Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy’ is on Spotify now, alongside the score of Channel 4’s First Dates, Human Drama, and Joanna Lumley’s Trans-Siberian Adventure.
