The aquisitions of the digital marketing agency and digital development shop expand e-commerce, digital offerings
Pavone Marketing Group has announced the acquisition of two companies: Netplus, and Phalanx Digital. The acquisitions effectively expand Pavone’s digital marketing capabilities while increasing its client roster in higher education, food and beverage, automotive, and sports marketing.

“We understand the consumer path to purchase continues to change, and the ongoing expectation for consumers to engage with brands when, where and how they want provides ever-evolving challenges for today’s marketers,” said Michael Pavone, president and CEO of Pavone Marketing Group. “These acquisitions increase our team’s knowledge, expertise and proven ability in delivering programs for our brand partners that drive sales and impact their industries.”

For 23 years, Netplus has demonstrated its national and global experience in content strategy, search, marketing, e-commerce, and Amazon customer activation expertise across industry verticals such as CPG, healthcare, and education, serving clients including Philadelphia Pretzel Factory, Aon Insurance, AstraZeneca, Friendly’s Restaurants, Valspar Paints and dozens more. “We saw an ability to build upon our digital expertise in mapping out consumer journeys and actively engaging consumers across all touchpoints,” said Netplus CEO Robin Neifeld. “We see opportunities to bring our expertise to all of Pavone’s healthcare, finance and CPG clients.”

Phalanx Digital, which has provided development support for such clients as Lamborghini, Porsche, Zaxby’s, IHG and Kioti, provides web development, digital infrastructure support, and the creation of gaming applications, VR and mobile applications. “Our focus is building outcome-driven digital programs and products - a value and vision that Pavone shares,” said Phalanx Digital creative director Paul Benninghove. “It made sense for us to add the tremendous amount of resources at PMG's disposal and help extend PMG's capabilities to grow into other digital verticals.”

The two companies are not retaining their names and are now part of Pavone Marketing Group, Inc. The announcement caps an exciting time of strategic growth for the agency, which includes the October 2018 acquisition of DDCworks. With the new acquisitions, Pavone’s staff - located in Harrisburg, Philadelphia, and Chicago - now numbers 98.
