Mr. Smith Directors Team Up to Collaborate on The Rubens' Clip

Mr. Smith directors Peter Carstairs and Curtis Hill have teamed up for the first time to co-direct a music video for 'Hallelujah' the first track off The Rubens' much anticipated second album 'Hoops'. 

Both directors come from strong drama and commercials backgrounds and only delve into music videos rarely. But when Mushroom Records Australia dispensed with the usual pitching process and approached them directly to make the clip - and once they heard the track - they jumped on the opportunity.

The video depicts a mesmerising performance from Sydney dancer Martin del Amo that's choreographed around the striking location and is beautifully photographed in one take by Shelley Farthing-Dawe. A nice compliment to a powerful song that Mr. Smith is very proud of. 

The full album is out August 7.
