Mobius Awards, headquartered in Los Angeles, has partnered with Golden Mouse Awards in Beijing to present top winners from the 2016 Golden Mouse competition on the Mobius Awards website.
“We want everyone outside of China to see what incredibly talented work and marketing is going on there,” said Lee Gluckman, chairman of Mobius Awards and a regular presenter at the Golden Mouse events. The 2016 event was devoted to Digital marketing.
Many of the 2016 Golden Mouse Digital Awards are now showcased on the Mobius Awards website complete with English translations and subtitled videos. The winners especially provide insight into the heavy use of mobile technology in a country where 86 percent of its internet users are accessing via a mobile device, according to MIT Technology Review.
Golden Mouse Digital Marketing Awards was founded in 2009 by the Journalism and Communication Department of Peking University and 17emarketing, a networking platform. Its mission is to demonstrate the development of marketing and survival in the changing environment. The annual events include seminars and an awards presentation.
Only Chinese companies enter Golden Mouse competitions, but entrants from China often compete in Mobius Awards, which is how the relationship between the two festivals came about.
“It is our plan,” said Gluckman, “to bring as much visibility as possible of Chinese advertising and design work to those outside China, including seminar presentations as they become available.”
